Mission Statement
The purpose of Cape Fear Alliance Church is to know Jesus Christ
and share His love with you.

We have six objectives that we feel will help us accomplish that purpose.  Current Ministries are listed with each objective. We pray that by seeing our purpose, objectives and current ministries that you will be able to hear from the Lord if this is the group of people with whom you may grow in experiencing the love of Jesus and sharing His love with others.

1. Prayer
Because our purpose at CFAC is to know Jesus Christ and share His love with you, we will make prayer the first means by which we do anything. We can do nothing apart from Jesus. The power of any church is only given from on high. The ministry of prayer will be pursued by as many avenues as possible.
Prayer meeting
We have a prayer service for everyone on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm.
Personal prayer requests
If you have any personal prayer requests that you want the whole body praying about, fill out a prayer request slip (found on the information table) and place it in the prayer bowl on the communion table. The request will be distributed through the prayer tree. You also have the option of emailing a prayer request to capefearalliancechurch@gmail.com
Prayer tree
A group of people within the church who agree to pray for requests distributed through the prayer tree.

2. Worship
The word of God is abundantly clear. When one comes to know the risen Christ, the result is worship. We seek to come together as a people not just to observe worship, but to be empowered by God the Spirit to participate in worship of God the Father and God the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Worship is primarily a matter of the heart and secondarily the art. God is the audience and we are the worshippers.

3. Evangelism
When we have experienced the love of Christ, our hearts become more enamored with what is on His heart. He seeks to change the lost condition of men, women , boys and girls. Therefore we seek to share His love with our community around us so that they might know Him.
Your “5”
We encourage every member and adherent of our church to ask God to give them 5 people for whom they might pray that God will give them opportunity to in some way share the gospel with them.
Quarterly events
We try to have at least one quarterly event which will allow us to corporately focus on evangelism to which we can invite our 5.

4. Edification
When one comes to know Jesus Christ, it results in a love for those who know Him and in a desire to love and build each other up in the faith (edification). We seek to provide an atmosphere where people may grow in Christ as a family and as according to their unique needs as children, youth and adults.
• Sunday Morning Worship Service: 11:00 am
• Sunday evening Family Bible  Study: 5:00 pm
• Wednesday ladies’ Bible study: 10:00 am

5. Missions
Because our purpose at CFAC is to share His love with you, we will reach out to the whole world by praying, visiting, giving and sending. Missions is literally our middle name. We are a part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance.
Missions Conference
Once per year we host a missions conference featuring missionaries from around the world.
Missions Moment
On most Sundays of the month we have a missions moment to highlight missions and encourage our people to Pray, Give and Go for missions.
Alliance Women in Missions and Prayer
Alliance Women in Missions and Prayer meets on the third or fourth Sunday of each month for lunch following the morning service. The purpose of the meetings is to educate concerning C&MA missions and to pray for our missionaries.
Short-term missions trips
We believe that when people are exposed first hand to missions by going that God speaks more dramatically to them about their involvement in missions. We encourage short-term trips because they produce people with a vision for missions.
Unreached people group
We have adopted the Fulani of Burkina Faso as our unreached people group. We are praying that God will raise up missionaries and an openness to the Gospel among the Fulani so that a church may be established and strengthened among them until they are able to reach their own people. Great Commission Fund
Unlike other organizations, The Christian and Missionary Alliance does not require its missionaries to raise their own support. Instead, missionaries and their ministries are financed through what we call The Great Commission Fund (GCF). At Cape Fear Alliance Church we want to financially support giving to the GCF to a dollar level that is equivalent to at least10% of what is given to the CFAC operating income.
Community
Locally, we also support some of the ministries of Southport, Oak Island Interchurch Fellowship (SOIIF).
• Nursing Home Worship (in July)
• Human Needs Fund
• Food Pantry
• MLK Jr. Celebration

6. Facilities
We want our facilities to be used to their maximum for the glory of God.
Southport Christian School
We are currently hosting Southport Christian School by leasing space to them for their use. SCS is a separate entity from CFAC. SCS is governed by its own school board made up of people form various churches in the community.
Other Community groups
Other Community groups request use of the facilities. We are glad to do this when we are able as a way of sharing the love of the Lord Jesus Christ with others.
