Interim Pastor
Pastor STEVE WOOD
ORIGINS:
I was born in Daytona Beach, Florida and raised in Georgia, mostly the Atlanta area. I have two brothers and two sisters. I’m thankful for loving parents who worked hard to provide for us. I had a desire to know God personally and relationally for as long as I can remember, but actually crossed that line of faith in Christ when I was 14 years old.
Later, in high school, I felt called to full time ministry as a missionary. Linda, my awesome wife, and I met in high school and married after my sophomore year at Toccoa Falls College in Georgia. We’ve experienced an exciting, rewarding, and challenging life serving as missionaries, as an administrator directing a pastoral leadership training program, district superintendent pastor, and as church planters. We’ve lived in North and South Dakota, Colorado, Nebraska, Georgia, Raleigh, North Carolina and now Southport, too.
Our two beautiful married daughters and families life in Florida and California….and between them have seven wonderful grandkids.
