Ministry responsibilities:
1) Church planting
The Glad News Church held its first public service in January of 2006, with over 100 people attending. There are several full-time Russian church planters in this project, carrying out a number of specialized ministries to make contacts and bring them into small groups, with those groups meeting both on their own and joining together for regular celebratory services. Miraim and I work along with Shan and Deanna Towns and Eliel Isla (a missionary of the Chilean Alliance) in this project. We meet with the church planting team for encouragement and spiritual growth, strategic planning, and preparing for and carrying out the ministries of the groups. Some of these ministries include evangelistic Bible studies, singles' fellowships, marriage ministries, English as a second language ministries, youth sports camps, and ministry to the drug- and alcohol-addicted. 2) Field Administration
As part of the Russia field administrative team, Miriam and I are responsible for a number of the tasks that are necessary for keeping the field functioning, including helping to coordinate procurement of visas and registrations, assisting in administration of field finances, managing field property, and carry out other responsibilities to aid the Field Director.
